Apple Intelligence now sorts each recording into a category — like Meeting, Interview, Lecture, Call, Idea or Note — and shows its icon in History. Tap Filter to see only one category, and Clear Filter to see everything again.
Choose a category yourself
In Edit mode, select one or more recordings and tap Category to set it yourself. Your choice always wins, and it works on every device.
Edit Title
Touch and hold a recording and choose Edit Title to change the title Apple Intelligence gave it, or tap regenerate for a new suggestion from the transcript. The file name stays the same.
Tag suggestions with Apple Intelligence
Open Tags for a transcribed recording and see up to three suggested tags based on what was said. Tap one to add it. Everything runs on your device, so your recordings stay private.
Tags, made simpler
With nothing selected, the Tags button now opens Manage Tags, where you can add new tags and change their colours. When you assign tags, the recording's name, date, length and size appear at the top. The Sort menu now holds sorting options only.
Clearer selecting
While you select recordings, the title shows how many you've chosen, and touch and hold no longer opens a menu.
Tags and titles, right away
New tags and suggested titles now appear as soon as they're ready, without restarting the app.
A calmer start
The opening screen now appears smoothly, without a blink or a jump.
A clearer subscription screen
A darker banner makes the app name easy to read, with every word the same size and the status bar kept clear. Text sizes now follow a clear order, so the important details stand out.
Smoother playback
Starting and controlling playback no longer risks a brief freeze.
Better in every language
